At seasons end Ryoko would be crowned champion of her racing series. After all the fanfare Ryoko would return home too America too decide what she wanted too do. While back home, in Japan a planar rift incident would accord. While very localized, there was major damage done too Tokyo. Saki, Maori and Heart toke action and helped stabilized the area. But their school wasn't so lucky. Severely damaged and repairs on going they have nothing too do. So Ryoko offered them too come too America for a spell. Everyones parents okayed it so they get ready for the long flight too Atlanta.
Heart: *happy* Yay!!! We are going too see Ry-Ry!!!
Maori: I really don't know how America will be.
Saki: Ryoko says "it is different then Japan."
Maori: Good or bad depends I guess.
Saki: We should be open minded.
Heart: *happy* Girl bonding time!!!
With Heart unable too contain her excitement, Saki and Maori join her on the long intercontinental flight from Tokyo too Atlanta, Georgia. When their plane lands Ryoko sends them a text message saying:
"Be waiting for you by the gate. You'll see me. I'm easy too spot. ;-)"
When they exit their gate, they do see her. Well they see the sign she made, with pink paper, glittery pieces glued too it and in a heart shape and with their names on it too boot.
Heart: Ry-Ry is right over there. *runs*
Saki: That sign....
Maori: I think this is payback.
Saki: For wha.......... oh.
Maori: Yup..... we had it coming. Not that Heart cares.
Heart is first too reach Ryoko, Saki and Maori are close behind.
Heart: *happy* Ry-Ry!!!
Ry: He-He.
*Heart coos in the happiness*
Ry: So you like my sign?
Heart: *happy* Yeah!
Ry: *grin* Saki.... Maori?
Saki: *sad* It is..... colorful
Maori: *sad* yeah.... what Saki said.
Ry: *whisper* I'm a racecar driver.... I never forget.
Saki and Maori have no response for the 'payback'. They exit the terminal and too the parking lot. After a brief walk they get too her truck.
Saki: It is bigger then I thought.
Maori: Much bigger then on video.
Heart: why aren't these in Japan?
Ry: much too big and wide for the roads. But work in America. Come, lets get you too my house.
They load up and take the long trip back. Saki and Maori take a nap while Heart (with her endless energy) talks too Ry-Ry. But soon Heart too talks herself too sleep. Ryoko enjoys some peace and quiet while driving them home. She stops for petrol and a stretch break. Heart stays in a coma while Saki and Maori join Ryoko outside, looking at the Appalachian mountains.
Ry: Japan has mountains too but those are older.
Saki: So.... breathtaking.
Maori: You can see so much.
Ry: America is more open and vast. I've only been in Japan for a few years but have already seen most of it. I've haven't seen 1% of the country of my birth. Maybe one day I will.
With her truck full of petrol, Ryoko finishes the drive too Athens in record time. Heart wakes up and Ryoko gives them an in person tour of her place of birth. After that she drives them too her home outside of Athens, pulls up the driveway and parks it.
Ry: Here we are.
Heart: Nice house Ry-Ry.
Saki: Much like your house in Japan.
Ry: Too a point yes. Come.
They unpack and enter. Ryokos mother greets them, this is the first time they have met mother in person. Ryoko takes their things down stairs and Saki, Maori and Heart talk too her mother. When she returns up they are making lunch. At lunch they ask her mother a lot about herself, which she reveals. After word they clean up and her mother gets ready for work (since it is her late night.) Her mother leaves for work leaving the girls home. The next morning Ryoko is up at the crack of dawn, her activity wakes everyone else up.
Maori: Where are you going?
Ry: Too work out. Wanna come with?
Saki: *smile* Of course.
Heart: *happy* Yeah!
Maori: Sure.
Ry: Then get your asses ready.
Heart, Saki and Maori get ready and join Ryoko on her trip too Athens. Once there at her favorite gym they met her personal trainer and get started. It quickly becomes apparent that Ryoko and Saki are far ahead of Heart and Maori in terms of physical stamina.
Heart: *sad* They are just..... not even tired yet.....
Maori: It has been a half an hour....
Heart: *sad* It isn't fair...
Maori: Come Heart....
Ryoko and Saki continue going hardcore for another 30 minutes until they decide too stop for a break.
Ry: Gotten stronger haven't ya?
Saki: Thanks too you.
Ry: Glad too see you are keeping up.
*Heart and Maori approach*
Maori: I thought I was in shape
Heart: *sad* Ry-Ry and Saki are machines.....
Ry: Maaaaaybe we should take each one of them and train separately?
Saki: *smile* Sure.
*Ryoko takes Heart and Saki takes Maori*
Heart: *sad* I'm in for pain aren't I?
Ry: No pain no gain He-He.
Heart groans depressingly. While they work out Heart begins regretting working at a sweets shop.
Ry: Gotta stop eating sweets He-He.
Heart: *upset* I know!!!!!!
At the other side of the room Saki and Maori are doing light things. After a while they save Heart from Ryokos "training." Ryoko and Maori then train together. Maori helps Ryoko focus on her other abilities. Tigris too helps out but in a hands off fashion. Maori doesn't overly focus on any one area but an overall view. Ryoko knows that has power too be an angel and reach saint hood but the prospect of having maybe one day her powers revealed scare her.
Maori: You don't need too worry about that. The general public is rather ignorant about what we do. So put your worries too rest.
They continue too explore Ryokos abilities. She soon discovers things she didn't know she could do.
Maori: Well.... what do you think?
Ry: This is..... amazing.
Maori: *happy* Good. I'm glad.
Ry: Ignorance isn't an excuse anymore.
With Ryoko eyes open too her potential she finishes her training with a refresher on Karv Maga. it is her chosen fighting style. Heart and Saki both know all too well about how good she is at using Karv Maga. When the fighting starts, she goes into another place. Though she focuses more on strikes and kicks (Boxing and Wrestling) as well as the normal throws, disarms and using the environment as a weapon. After her refresher everyone packs up and heads back too her home. When there Ryoko makes everyone a good balanced lunch. Nuts, fruits, cheese and other things filled with protein.
Ry: Rebuild build muscle, recover energy...
Maori: Who taught you all this?
Ry: My personal trainer. And.... a bit from my mother. "Eating healthy makes you stronger."
*Ryokos mother returns from work*
Ry: Speaking of the devil...
Ryoko also makes her mother something too eat but due too her overnight she just goes for a nap. Ryoko isn't phased by her mothers actions. She understands and wraps up her mothers meal. The girls stay quiet while her mother sleeps. When her mother wakes she and Maori go have a talk. While they do Ryoko takes Heart and Saki outside too show them around. When they return Ryoko and her mother talk. She is happy too know her daughter is pursuing her "angle" abilities at last, after been resistant for a long time.
The next day Ryokos mother leaves early for work, leaving the girls alone. When they wake up, they freshen up and get ready for the day.
Heart: Ry-Ry, what are we going too do today?
Ry: Hm, well let me check around the kitchen too see if we need anything.
Ryoko checks and the kitchen has everything needed for whatever they want.
Ry: Might check my garage then.
Ryoko does check her garage and finds out they she has no brake pads, fluid or certain other fluids.
Ry: Well I know what i'm doing for a few hours.
Saki: What YOU are doing?
Ry: Eh, sorry. You guys can come.
They suit up and head out too Athens for her stuff. When they arrive at the auto parts store, she gives Maori, Saki and Heart a list on what she needs and sends them off. However they have no idea what they are looking for though by some miracle Heart finds the exact type of brake pads Ryoko needs.
Ry: Thank you Heart. Exactly what I need.
Heart: *happy* Your welcome Ry-Ry.
Saki: How did she do that?
Maori: Heart has her ways sometimes.
Saki and Maori struggle for a while finding certain things. They eventually ask for help from one of the workers. They get the stuff asked of them and give it too Ryoko, whom playfully grins at them. After checking out they head back home.
Ry: Say... you guys want too do something?
Everyone: What?
Ry: Want too learn how too drive?
Everyone: .....
Ry: You guys do know Schar and Weiss learned right?
Heart: Sharley and Weiss never mentioned it.... at least when I was with them.
Ry: Figures. Well... what you say?
Saki: Sure.
Maori: You aren't certified.
Ry: So?
Heart: Ry-Ry is this illegal?
Ry: We are on my property. Who gives a damn. The field out back is big enough for you too not hit anything. I'll be in here with you.
Saki: Driving your truck?
Ry: Yeah, my car can't handle it and brakes aren't good either.
Maori: That is why you got the stuff.
Ry: Yep.
Heart: I'll do it.
Maori: Well... I guess i'll join you guys then.
With everyone on board Ryoko starts the lessons. First control and low speeds which everyone handles after some coaching. Then comes parking which is much more difficult due too the trucks size and blind spots. Then they just do roughly 15-20mph around the field.
Saki: This isn't so bad.
Ry: Your doing really well Saki.
*Hearts turn*
Heart: Wow. I'm driving.
Ry: (She is better at this then I thought. Maybe because she knows that if doesn't take care of my truck her life will be hell.)
*Maoris turn*
Maori: I really thought this would be hard. it isn't.
Ry: Well yeah of course.
They continue too practice until Ryoko feels that they have a solid grasp on driving. She then rewards them with some sweet tea and lunch. The rest of the day is just the girls being lazy. The next day Ryokos mother is off from work and Ryoko is out for the day running errands. The girls chat up her mother and ask a lot of questions which she is more then happy too answer (Ryoko mostly and her dad). Ryoko returns late in the day from her errands.
Ry: Say... you guys want too pull an all-nighter with me?
Saki: What are you going too do?
Ry: Change the brakes on my car, oil change, detail stuff.
Heart: *happy* Yeah!!!
Maori: *happy* Sure.
Saki: *smile* Then I will as well.
With everyone on board Ryoko gets everything ready that needs readying. When the sun sets the gang ends for the outside garage, Ryoko cranks up the music and gets started. While they have no clue about how she does it but Ryoko asks for help they do help her out. Ryoko lets them handle the detail work (tire shine, cleaning the inside of the car and other misc. stuff). Though she does ask for an extra pair of hands when needed. While it takes a few hours Ryoko takes her time and makes sure everything is done properly and too her satisfaction. She then changes the oil and other fluids on her car. By the time she is done, it is 4 am in the morning. Heart is already asleep but Saki and Maori are toughing it out.
Ry: Almost done.
Maori: What is next?
Ry: Test the system by driving but it is late we are all dead tired.
Heart: ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Ry: Minus Heart. Who is already dead.... tired.
Saki: I'll carry her back.
The girls head inside for some rest. Right around 10am the girls awaken, freshen up and get ready for the day.
Heart: Ry-Ry what are we doing today?
Ry: Well Heart. if you guys wish too come with me but i'll be going too Road Atlanta too test my cars new brakes
Heart: *happy* I'll go!
Saki: Me too.
Maori: okay.
Everyone jump into her car and travel too Road Atlanta. It takes them roughly 3 hours too get too the track. At the track everyone is given a crash helmet and Ryoko uses the "unleash hell" key fob too unlock all 700hp supercharged HP of her car.
Ry: Y'all ready?
Everyone: Yeah.
Ry: Here we go!
Ryoko peels out of Pit road and begins pushing hard. So much so...
Saki/Maori: AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meanwhile Heart is like:
Heart: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ry: Oh screams of terror. Music too my ears. More speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saki/Maori: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heart: YEAH!!!!!!! FASTER!!!!!!!!!!! FASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ryoko does indeed go faster. After many more laps Ryoko parks it on pit road.
Ry: Brakes work fine. I did a good job.
Saki/Maori: What the hell is wrong with you!?
Ry: You guys came along it is your fault. Heart had a good time.
Heart: *happy* Indeed! So much fun!
Ry: See? Ligthen the hell up. Your still here and not in a hospital. I'm a professional after all.
Saki and Maori see her point but still aren't happy. With the sun setting they head off for home.
Ry: Say.... you guys want a treat?
Heart: What kind of treat?
Ry: The greasy yummy goodness.
Saki: You mean...
Ry: Yep. Those burger from last Christmas. My treat.
Heart: *points ahead* On too the greasy yummy goodness!!!!
Ryoko hurries up too the place there those famous burgers are made. They place there orders and wait. While they wait Heart, Saki and Maori do some shopping for themselves. When burgers are done they all head home, head downstairs and enjoy the greasy yummy goodness.
Heart: Soooooo gooooooood.
Saki: And messy.
Maori: But worth it.
Ry: Agreed too all of what was said.
The burgers, fries and soda last only a matter of moments before been consumed. With bellies full the girls become lazy and sleepy so they go too bed. In the morning Maori gets a call from Japan, the school is mostly ready for student too come back too school. So they have one more day, Ryokos mother books their flight back too Japan.
Heart: *sad* I don't want too leave.
Saki: I have too agree with Heart. We have had a lot of fun here with you Ryoko.
Ry: Ah, come on you guys. I'll still visit you. I still don't know what i'll do with my life since i'm not going too race in Japan full-time anymore. But i'll be racing for sure.
Maori: Well we wish you luck in whatever you do.
Ry: Still got one more day. Come on, lets make something of it.
Everyone travels too Atlanta and Ryoko shows them around. Atlanta and Tokyo are both big citys but in different ways. And Atlanta has things that Tokyo doesn't, which makes them check those things as much as possible. They the spend the whole day in Atlanta doing girl things at sun down they travel home and go too bed early. The next day (early morning) Ryoko and her mother take Heart, Saki and Maori too the airport.
Heart: *sad* I just don't want too leave.
Ry: I know Heart but you have too continue your studies.
Heart: *sad* Ry-Ry...
Saki: I really enjoyed this time here with you.
Ry: Keep training Saki. Keep getting stronger. If you need me call me, i'll be there.
Saki: *smile* Thank you.... I will.
Ry: Miss Maori....
Maori: *happy* it was great that you invited us too stay with you. Thank you so much.
Ry: ......
Maori: *happy* We will always be friends.... and sisters.
Each share a hug with each other and board their flight back too Japan. The day after they arrive back home they start school again.
