This is Toads Turnpike from Mario Kart 64. It is a simple figure 8 layout. The little shoulders feature item pick ups. It seems simple doesn't it? Well no it isn't. This course has cars that are driving around along with other racers. You hit them it will hurt. Sometimes luck isn't on your side and get taken out by someone then have a car pile drive into you afterword for good measure. Oh and on "Extra mode" in this game you get too go in reverse. I'll spell it out: Instead of going with traffic, your going AGAINST traffic!!!!!!!!!!!! Quick reflexes and doing a "rope a dope" with other cars is needed. And your hauling ass too boot. The course is a challenge and a pleasure too drive if a little unfair at times.
This is Mute City (one of the many versions of Mute City) from F-Zero GX. The track layout is really simple, wide with plenty of room too move. However the hovercraft (loosely using the term here) go about 1000km/h or faster. So quick reflexes are needed. And you have 29 others racing with you. Some want too take you out. The real reason why Muty City is this list is because well just look at it. The sense of speed along with all the lights, buildings even Muty City under the track is a site too be hold. Yeah it is easy but it has atmosphere. Very few tracks (or games) can have that. (And this game can be ungodly hard at times.)
