Ryoko has a few days left before returning too her racing duties. She is in the very southern tip of the main island of Japan on a "daycation." Relaxing, reading her manga books and walking the beaches. She stops by a shop too get some stuff for herself, while walking back too her car she senses a disturbance nearby. Acting quickly she investigates and finds a small planar rift.
Ry: Well might as well take care of it since i'm here.
With little effort, Ryoko takes care of the rift.
Ry: Easy peasy.
Ryoko turns too leave but senses another disturbance but this one is human. She quickly hides too see who it is. She quickly recognizes who it is.
Ry: Maori?
Maori: Ryoko? Did you take care of that rift?
Ry: Well... I was in the area and figured i'd would.
Maori: Well thank you. Petra send you here or something?
Ry: Nope. I'm on a daycation. Needed too get a away for a day. I'm pleasantly surprised too run into you.
Maori: *happy* Well as am I too run into you.
Maori then gets a phone call. She takes it and she is needed in another area but a few miles away.
Ry: I'll take you there, come on Miss Maori.
They get too her car, which is something Maori has seen but never got inside of.
Ry: Eh, sorry Miss Maori. It will be tight around the chest area... it is how the belts work.
Maori: It is okay.
Ryoko straps Maori into the seat, while tight in her chest area Ryokos car isn't anything that she has seen or being in before. She is in a racing seat, the interior of the car is strapped bare, save for 4 air vents, center console, a small touch screen, gear stick, dashboard, gauges for engine RPM, speed, water and oil temp and gauge for indicating super charger pressure. Also inside is a full roll cage. Maori is too busy in awe too notice Ryoko is also in the car with her.
Ry: Like what you see?
Maori: Well... I've never been inside a car like this before.
Ry: Well you can look at it more while we travel too our destination.
Ryoko inserts the key in into the engine ignition and turns it. The gauges cycle and the small touch screen lights up with words "select engine mode." One button says "normal" and one says "race." Ryoko hits race and then the screen says "start engine." Ryoko hits a button next too the ignition and the roars too life. Ryoko takes off. Maori is pressed into her seat and has her breath taken away. They quickly reach their destination.
Ry: Here we are.
Maori: .........
Ry: Anything wrong?
Maori: Just.... amazed.
Ry: Oh, well do what you have too do Maori. I'll wait here... unless you want me too come with you.
Maori: Be nice if you did.
Without a saying a word Ryoko joins Maori. They deal with the planar rifts in the area, Maori reports in and she is next needed further north. Ryoko quickly and expertly gets them too their destination. For the next 4 hours Ryoko takes Maori around Japan, helping her with her duties. With Maoris final report in, her boss asks too talk too Ryoko personally herself (over the phone). She thanks for helping her and Maori out. Ryoko is happy too help in the future but stresses her racing related activities come first. Maoris boss understands. Maori is done for the day and they stop by a small shop for a soda.
Maori: Thank you for today.
Ry: No problem. Anytime Miss Maori. *smile*
Maori: Why don't you explore your abilities more?
Ry: Hm?
Maori: Your strong Ryoko. Very strong.
Ry: Not as strong as Heart.
Maori: Well no one has what power Heart has. Your gifted Ryoko, I know you speak and see Arcana too.
Ry: You sound like my mother.
Maori: Well when you have 2 younger sisters you do have be motherly like. I will happy too train with you. You've unlocked Sakis abilities.
Ry: For some reason no one has ever offered me training before.
Tigris: Come on Ryoko. Take her training offer. I can only do so much too help you grow. Don't be so resistant.
Maori: You don't waste your driving talent. Please don't waste your other talent.
Ryoko ponders the thought. When she fought against Heart Ryoko had too use Tigris too help her keep up. Yes Ryoko pressed the physical advantage but Heart had the power advantage. Besides Ryoko doesn't hang out much with Maori. More so with Scharlachrot and Weiss with Heart and Saki too a point as well. Ryoko has always enjoyed Maoris company.
Ry: Alright. Its a deal. *smile*
Maori: *happy* Yay!!!
Ry: It is late, i'll take you home Maori.
Ryoko drives Maori home however in Japan with vast advancements in public transport, traffic can still be a problem and near Tokyo they a traffic jam do too construction.
Ry: Shit.... were going too be here a while.
Maori: Getting dark too.
Ry: Well i'm calling a audible, where going too my house. It isn't too far away. And I hate driving in the hills near my house in the dark.
Ryoko exits the highway and travels too her house. They make it right as the sunsets.
Ry: Better call your sisters, they are probably worried.
Maori: Yeah, good idea.
Maori calls her sisters and tells them where she is. Since it is dark out she asks Ryoko if she can stay the night, Ryoko has no problem with it at all.
Ry: Want something too eat Maori?
Maori: Yes. I'm starving.
Ry: What would you like? I'm a certified cook after all.
Maori: Surprise me.
Ry: Oh you are asking for it now Maori.
Ryoko plays some music and gets too work. Meat is fried up, fresh veggies chopped and cheese is warmed up. Maori doesn't know what she is doing but it smells yummy. Ryoko places a table in the living room and places all of the finished product on it.
Maori: What is it?
Ry: Nachos.
Maori: Never had nachos before.
Ry: Good stuff Maori. Dude food but it is also interactive food. Eat with your hands. I've had nachos with many different things. Mix and match too your hearts content. I just prefer my simple method.
Both ladies customize their plates and grab a beverage, sit down in front of the TV. During their meal they discuss things. Both find out that despite having different back grounds they are similar in some ways. Maori shares stories about her mother (who isn't alive anymore) and Ryoko share like wise shares stories about her father. They both realize that their parents share a lot in common with each other.
Maori: I really wish I could have met your father.
Ry: I wish I could have met your mother.
Maori: Well for all we know, they may have already met in the after life.
Ry: Good point.
They finish all the nachos. They so soon get bored of TV and play board games, one such game requires thinking... chess. Their game lasts for while, mostly because they out maneuver each other.
Ry: Appears we think a lot alike.
Maori: Hm.... indeed.
Maori ends up winning. So they move on too more board games. They have a lot of fun but also bond. They talk more about their families and themselves. However it is time for bed.
Ry: Wear whatever you want Maori, may not fit you but as long as you are comfortable.
Maori: oh thank you.
They hit the sack. In the morning Maori wakes up too Ryoko been gone. When she goes downstairs she finds a note the frig. It reads:
"Good Morning Miss Maori. I've gone too Tokyo too work out for a few hours. Please help yourself too whatever you want for breakfast. I'll be back." -Ryoko Kenichi
Maori makes herself a good breakfast and freshens up. Ryoko returns home too pick up Maori and take her home. At the Kasuga shrine, Ryoko and Maori share a hug.
Ry: It was nice hanging out with you.
Maori: Yeah. We should do it more often.
Ry: I'd like that. *smile*
Maori: *Happy* As would I.
They go their separate ways but stay on contact all day via text message.
