Yo, Sen, Shaga and Hana get too see Kai and Yuna in another Ben-to brawl. This time they work together and each get a Ben-to. Everyone is amazed by their team work, despite Yunas visual impairment. The next day Yo is walking home from school Ume Shiraume is well slapping and kicking the crap out of Yo for hanging out with Hana too much. hearing this Yuna steps in before Yo is sent too the hospital. She catches Ume mid-slap.
Yuna: What is the meaning of this?
Ume slightly turns her head toward Yuna. With a look of displeasure on her face.
Ume: It is none of your business.
Yuna: I'm making it my business if it is one of my friends.
Ume: well aren't you fresh.
Yo: Hey be careful Yuna. Ume is scary.
Ume: you should listen too your friend Sato.
Yuna: Ume Shiraume....
Yuna tightens her grip on Ume hand. Her fingers turning red.
Yuna: I fear no man..... or women.... or a rich bitch such as yourself.
Ume: What did you say?
Yuna: Rich bitch. Want me too say it again or are you deaf?
Ume: Hm..... I think you need too come with me. You have a lot of energy that needs too be used.
Yuna: I know of you and protectiveness of Hana and well your stuff with Shaga.
Ume attempts too grab Yuna but Yuna simply throws her too the ground hard.
Yuna: No thanks. But I suggest you leave if you know what is good for you. But I surmise in your rich bitchness you are too damn dumb too know what is best for you.
Ume stands up, dusts herself off and leaves without saying a word.
Yuna: The air just got less rich and less bitchy. *helps Sato up* You are alright?
Yo: Yeah thanks. Wow, you stood up too her like she was nothing.
Yuna: That is because she is nothing.
Yo: Wouldn't go that far but....
Yuna: i'll walk you home Sato.
Yo: I really don't have too.
Yuna: If there is anything Kai has taught me is show respect for everyone, minus those who treat others badly.
Yuna does walk Yo home. Sato asks if she needs help herself too which she replies "I'll be fine." The next day at one of the hot spots for Ben-to brawling, like last time everyone is there minus Yuna. Kai shows up as well. Once the God of Discounts leaves, all hell breaks loose. Sen and Kai eventually clash over a sea food special Ben-to.
Kai: Ice Witch.
Sen: Crimson Fury.
Kai: The Sea Food Special Ben-to?
Sen: Indeed.
Kai: Now I would never hit a lady but in this case. Prepare for a concussion.
*Punches, kicks are thrown, before another clash*
Sen: Why do you fight over half price Ben-to?
Kai: Well it isn't for the violence. But this is like Golf. You all have the same goal but you all fight for the same goal.... too win.
Sen: you view half priced Ben-to as trophies?
Kai: No and yes. No for the material aspect. Yes as it proves you are better everyone else. Like I said I don't do it for the violence. Just wanting too prove myself, since i'm a foreigner and all in this country. We all operate under the same conditions and rules. What separates us is drive and skill. And you can't match my skill and my drive Ice Witch!
Kai manages too stun Sen and throw her into a group of brawlers, knocking them down like bowling pins. As Sen recovers Kai already has the ben-to they fought over. He tips his red cap at her and walks away. After the brawl, everyone is still together. They spot Kai relaxing at a bus stop, ear bud in and with his cap covering this eyes. His ben-to isn't in site. They approach him.
Kai: Hello y'all. Hope you are alright Sen.
Sen: i'm fine.
Kai: Good. So... you satisfied with my answer too your question Sen?
Sen: Well..... yeah. I am.
Kai: Good.
Yo: What are his reasons?
*Sen explains*
Shaga: I see.
Yo: Got it.
Hana: Understood Kai.
Sen: What about Yuna?
Kai: You'll have too ask her Ice Witch. Not my place too speak for her.
Yo: She doesn't like rich people it seems. She rescued me from form Ume.
Kai: She has her reasons, mostly her parents.
*Everyone looks like they want too know*
Kai: Okay sit down and i'll explain.
Everyone gets comfy and sits down.
Kai: It may not look like it but Yuna has lived a hard life. She wasn't born with terrible vision but at around age 10 her vision started too go. Her parents, business people like mine really didn't want too as they put it "take care of her." So one day they just drop her off at her grandmas house and left. Her grandmother at the time was in poor health. With Yuna going almost blind and her grandma not in the best health it was hard. She was bed ridden most of the time but could help Yuna when she could. As the next few years went by her grandma got worse but Yuna managed too get her help. Her grandmother was almost gone when one night she wanted her too a get Ben-to. Yuna would go too a market and get one but walked right into a Ben-to brawl. She did her best but didn't get one. She returned too her grandma beaten and without a Ben-to. All her grandma told her was "Be fearless." The next night she returned. However she ran into a bunch of bullies. Once they removed her glasses they obviously found out she couldn't see well. Along with mocking her they beat her up. At one point Yuna was about too give up but remembered her grandma words. She overcame and overpowered them, getting a Ben-to in the process. She returned and feed her grandmother the Ben-to. A few weeks later her grandmother passed away but not before saying those words that inspired her... "Be fearless." Ever since then she has lived on her own.
Yo: What about her parents?
Kai: Not on speaking terms. Her grandma had some money saved away. The bank gives Yuna a set amount every month.
Sen: Why aren't her and her parents on speaking terms?
Kai: Yuna feels abandoned by them. Only her mothers sends her a card for her birthday.
Everyone: And that is it!?
Kai: Yep. She is done with them.
Hana: What about you two?
Kai: Came too Japan about 3 years ago. Been with her ever since. I help her out around school, though Yuna has the whole school lay out memorized.
Sen: Hm...
Kai: Don't doubt her... any of you. She proves people wrong more times then not.
Shaga: I can vouch for that.
Kai: I know you wish too test her Sen but..... you don't have too. Yunas reasons are noble for fighting over half price Ben-to.
Sen says nothing. They all go their separate ways after word. The next day Hana is walking home when she spots Yuna at the bus stop, typing away on her laptop.
Hana: Yuna!
Yuna: Oh Hana... hello.
Hana: May I sit next too you?
Yuna: Sure.
Hana watches Yuna type away. She is amazed by how fast and accurate she is.
Hana: Amazing Yuna.
Yuna: What is?
Hana: Look how fast you are.
Yuna: Well there is a secret too it. Besides obviously memorizing the keys. Give me your hand.
Hana does and lets Yuna place her hand the keys. Hana notes that keys have different textures too each other.
Yuna: Each key like the home keys have a different texture too them. Once I rest my fingers on the keys.... the rest is just memory.
Hana: Your amazing Yuna.
Yuna: I really don't think I am. Just a girl who can't see.
Hana: Your strong too.
Yuna: Kai told you didn't he...
Han: Yeah.
*Yuna closes her laptop*
Hana: You are amazing. You have a disability yet it doesn't define you.
Yuna: I can't see fear. Some say that what you don't see is scary. I say.... 'bring it on." But there is one test that I must face by myself.
Hana: What?
Yuna: I will not see it but I will feel it. I... will know when the time comes.
