I think any racefan worth their salt knows what course i have chosen just by the shape on the image. The Nurburg Ring North Course (Nordschleife). Nearly 13 miles long with 154 corners. The greatest test of driver, car and car setup. Full commitment would be needed for any driver driving this track. The smallest mistake means a big penalty. This track has everything, fast bends, technical sections, bank corners, a long straight away. You could say it is a the perfect racetrack as it tests EVERYTHING. Auto makers used too test here. However passing is very difficult do too how narrow the track is and how fast some places of the track are. And the curbs can be very nasty and throw you off line if you hit them. There isn't much forgiveness in this track. It'll chew you up and spit you out. However is it very rewarding when you complete a lap here without crashing. It is also a good test track. If you can set up a car well here, you can set up a car anywhere. Want a challenge? Try driving it in the rain. Good luck with that one.
This course is most likely look unfamiliar too most. This isn't a real world track, it is fictional and from the world of Gran Turismo. The Cape Ring is a very unique track. Full of low and medium speed corners and elevation changes. Including banked corners. One such corner is called "The spiral." It is a banked corner that gets tighter, forcing you too slow down toward the end of the corner. The course is run counter-clockwise. It is 4.40 miles long with 28 corners. A very interesting test of low and medium speed setup as well as brakes. Before the spiral on the straight before this a jump. DO NOT hit it at full speed or you will spin out. One of my favorites in the Gran Turismo series.
Stay tuned for more. Enjoy.
