I will take each lovely lady as they last appeared (or fought) in. Hinata would be Naruto: The Last movie and Kasumi would be in Dead or Alive 5.

Hinatas background is a mixed bag. Being the Heiress of the Hyuga clan her father would daily put her through grueling training. While she showed some skill but not enough too impress her over barring father whom after making Hinata and her sister duel for the Heiress title and lost (due too her not wanting too hurt her sister (her sister not wanting too hurt her as well)) deem her a lost cause, even going as far too say that he didn't care if she lived or died and that she was worthless ("trash"). After a fateful meeting with her future husband her life changed. She became determined too better herself by following his example. Even adapting his creed. For years Hinata applied herself with 110% commitment too being stronger. Though she lost too her stronger cousin during the Chunin Exams, she proved that became a changed person in the process. As the series progressed she became more capable as a person and ninja. She fought very well in the 4th shinobi world war. By the time of The Last Hinata is one of the strongest female ninja in the village and she has respect of her clans people and villagers. Also by that time she had achieve her life long dream of being with her loved one...... forever.
Much like Hinata, Kasumi was born into the Head of a powerful clan (The Mugen Tenshin clan) and had a happy childhood. Until her half-sister Ayane ended their friendship over jealousy of Kasumis "princess" status and being mistreated by the clan. One day Kasumi made a very dangerous action and ran away from her clan in order too kill her uncle whom had hurt her older brother. She fought in the Dead Or Alive Tournament and killed her uncle (with help) but was captured by DOATEC and they toke her DNA. Kasumi escapes and enters the 2nd DOA tournament. She meets her older brother who suffering from amnesia and they fight. She loses but her brother remembers everything afterword. Kasumis consent running and being hunted put a tremendous strain on her and she gets sick. After running away again after meeting her sister, she enters the 3rd DOA tournament in hopes of meeting her brother again. She does and they fight because her brother wants too honor the clans code on the killing runaways but he doesn't and lets her live. After going into hiding for some time, she enters the 4th DOA tournament and joins everyone in fighting them (as well as trying too find her brother). She fights her clone but the clone escapes. Kasumi would once again go into hiding thanks too a couple of friends. She comes out of hiding as a friends request. With everything dealt with she toke her leave. Finding peace with her half-sister and brother.
Physical Abilities:
At the time of the Last, Hinata Hyuga is 19 years old and for a girl of her years is in very good physical shape. She is about the same height and weight as Kasumi. Not the fastest ninja but has great flexibility. Hinata is also able endured extreme physical hardship. Such has taken 3 shots too heart while fighting her cousin in Naruto Part 1, getting back up after taken 3 hard blows (one which made her land on her head) in Naruto Part 2 and fought for 2 days in the 4th shinobi world war with little rest only too collapse from fatigue toward the end. Even when pushed too her limits Hinata is able too push past those limits and continue fighting.
At the time of Dead or Alive 5 Kasumi is 19 years old and much like Hinata is in very good physical shape. Kasumi is fast and has great flexibility. Kasumi also has great endurance and stamina, being on the run for so long she kept on running even when sick. Including fighting over many days against many different opponents some physically stronger then she is. She also has great flexibility, which lends itself too her fighting style
The Verdict:
Both ladies are roughly the same with similar abilities. However Kasumi is faster then Hinata. In combat speed can be a deciding factor. And she is probably physically stronger then Hinata. Kasumi gets the edge in terms of physical abilities.
Martial Arts Ability:
Being from the Hyuga Clan, Hinata uses her clans martial arts style called the "Gentle Fist." Do not let the name fool you though, it is VERY lethal in the hands of a skilled user. The style doesn't do external damage, it does internal damage. It uses the users chakra and puts it into the opponents body. Depending the amount the attacker uses, you can either cause minor too MASSIVE internal damage. So much so, they can hit an opponent and kill them in one blow. In Part 1 Hinata had skill but not too the level of her cousin or sister. By part 2 Hinata had grown in skill and knows most of her clan techniques (i will not be using every techniques she knows). By the time of the The Last movie, she has surpassed her father and can do things he can not do. Gentle Fist is also good for defense as well.
Like Hinata, Kasumi uses her clans fighting style "Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu Tenjinmon style." This style lends itself too someone who can acquire super human strength, battle technique and highly resistant too physical pressure. The Style also lends too a defensive and evasive style of fighting when on defense. As of Dead or Alive 5 Kasumi focuses more teleporting during mid moves in combat. Kasumi however lacks range but can unleash combos with ease. Causing a lot of damage in the process and using her speed too her advantage.
The Verdict:
Both ladies are practiced hands at their fighting styles. So who gets the edge depends who can cause more damage. Kasumi causes external damage while Hinata does internal damage. Kasumis attacks are faster and in greater number but all Hinata has too do is hit Kasumi just right and the fight changes quickly. Hinata will have her work cut out though. Hinata gets the slight edge in Martial Arts ability.
Tools and Equipment:
Since both ladies are ninja they use the same equipment and tools Kunai, ninja starts and the like. However...Hinata has what is called the Byakugan. Every Hyuga clan member has it. Through training the range of vision can be increased. As of Part 2 Hinata see up too 10km away. (In American language that is 6.2 miles). However is does have a weakness, there is a blind spot above the first thoracic vertebra. However it can see through most objects and can help detect high speed movement. And can see chakra points in combat, allowing them too be hit. And it isn't considered a weapon but too much usage can lead too temporary but severe eye strain.
The Verdict: This is no contest. Hinatas Byakugan gives her a great advantage. Hinata gets the edge in terms of tools and equipment.
X-factor: What could help turn the tide of battle?
Hinata: Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists: This attack can drain the charka of any opponent that happens too get hit by it. This is a high level attack, requiring great skill.
Resolve: Hinata has lived a hard life. But has battled through crippling self doubt and depression too become a great shinobi. She has a lot of heart and a iron will. She will not give up no matter what happens too her. Her mental strength is one of her greatest assets.
Kasumi: Torn Sky Blast: A very powerful attack. The user generates electricity from their hands and shoots it towards their opponent. Either serverly injuring or killing them outright. Kasumi has used this attack too kill her uncle in the 1st DOA Tournament.
Warping: Kasumi has the ability too warp. This plays too her speed. It is unknown how many times Kasumi can warp but she uses it quite often in combat against another opponent. It is like fighting mist.
The Verdict: Each lady has a trump card too use in this match. Kasumis speed will be put too the test, as will Hinatas resolve. Kasumi will not play minds games against Hinata. Vice versa also applies. It is nip-picky, i can not even give a slight edge here. Both girls are equals in terms of X-Factor.
The Final Verdict: What means more? Speed and strength or finesse and toughness? Fists of iron or an Iron will? This battle will not be a short one, i expect too go over 20 minutes. Kasumis speed will give Hinata trouble but her Byakugan will help detect her incoming attacks. But Hinata can not block all of them. Kasumi will get her hits in but Hinata will endure it. Kasumi will fine out rather quickly Hinata will not go down easily. Hinata will get her hits in on Kasumi. Since Kasumi can deal with high physical pressure but eventually Hinatas hits will take there toll. Each lady will use their trump card in this battle. Kasumi will most likely use it first but due too Hinatas ability too shut down her bodies energy, it most likely will not be as effective however it will still pack a punch. But not enough too keep Hinata down. Kasumi will attempt a finishing blow but due too Hinata previous hits on her internal organs and chakra points will be enough for Hinata too use her trump card on Kasumi.
On a scale of 1 too 10: 1-4 for a victory for Kasumi and 6-10 for a victory for Hinata. Hinata gets a 6. Meaning she is the victor of this Versus Series match up. Both girls will have the crap beat out of them, even the victor Hinata will not be standing at the end of this one. Bloodied, bruised, broken bones are most likely the injuries sustained by Hinata. Kasumi will have damage too her internal organs and limbs that are paralyzed.

The rest of my knowledge of these lovely ladies is that i'm a fan of both of them. I like them as characters, people (fictionally speaking) and what they represent. And they are lookers as well.
