There are 10 days left before Ryoko has too start her season. But there was something before that she had too do.... and know. Ryoko would ask Heart, Saki and Maori too follow her. They met up with her Arcana Tigris. In an instant he would teleport everyone too above Mt.Fuji. Heart would ask why they were there...
Ry: Do you remember Heart? This where you did battle with a god.... and won. It is was difficult for you I know. But I also want too know that power, that strength you used too win and save everyone. Show me.
Heart: Ry-Ry?
Ry: Show me Heart.... show me. I'm not going too hold back. If you do, you WILL be hurt.
Heart reluctantly agrees. They have an almighty clash above Mt. Fuji. Ryoko would press her physical advantage. Being older and in much better physical shape. Hearts power however gives her an edge, forcing Ryoko too tap into Tigrises powers. So much so her physical appearance goes through a slight change. Her nails grow in length, a black aura surrounds her body and whisker marks appear on her cheeks. Heart was alarmed but Ryoko assures her that she is still 'her.' The clash would end with Ryoko using her Tigers Roar and Hearts using her super Doper Iron Fist Punch of Love. Maori would step in after that too call it off but neither escape unharmed. Ryoko would have bruised ribs and Heart a broken nose. In the after math Saki would remember the time when she and Fiona were almost sucked into the elemental world. Saki promised herself that she would grow stronger so that it wouldn't happened but after what she saw with Heart and Ryoko she isn't so sure.
Saki: (I'm..... not strong enough. Heart and Ryoko are far ahead of me. Fiona.........)
A few days pass, Saki asks Ryoko if she could help her with something but will not say what. Saki asks Ryoko too follow her and she does. They walk away from the crowded school and city and into the back alleys.
Ry: (Where is she taking me? Something in my gut tells me something is off. Saki isn't like this.)
They continue until Saki stops.
Ry: Okay, I've indulged you. Now tell me why we are here.
Saki says nothing but just stands there. Ryoko walks too her.
Ry: Tell me now Saki.
Saki: i'm sorry for this...
Ry: What?
Saki: (Bhnari... my faithful Arcana. I don't want your help with this. I must test my own strength, my own resolve, my own heart. Please don't interfere. I must do this on my own.)
*Bhnari says nothing but understands*
Without warning, Saki turns around and throws a super straight at Ryoko. She skillfully dodges.
Ry: What the hell was that for!?
Saki charges again, firing off a fury of kicks from all angles. Ryoko dodges and blocks.
Ry: Saki! Stop!
Saki: Fight me!
Ry: Why!? What for!?
Saki: Just fight me!!!
Ry: Not without a reason i'm not!!!
Saki continues her assault. Ryoko takes all the attacks without much injury too herself. But they aren't alone. They have an audience, the Achenbach sisters (Zenia and Liese) and Lilica and Yoriko along Mikey. The Achenbach sister watch from a corner while Lilica, Yoriko and Mikey watch from a building top.
Zenia: Hm......
Liese: What?
Zenia: Nothing.
Liese: Whatever, Saki is attacking for no reason. Coward.
Yoriko: Why is she doing that?
Lilica: Heh, typical. She can't take a bit of tongue but she'll attack you for something you've not done.
Mikey: Hm.....
While Liese and Lilica openly mock Saki. Zenia and Mikey know something is up. They don't know her that well but with how she is moving and attacking. Something is driving her too do what she is doing. Saki manages too get through Ryokos defense, hitting her in her injuried ribs.
Saki: Fight me!!!
Ryoko: Stop pushing me Saki..... this is your.... LAST warning. Stop... right now.
Saki: I will not. Fight me!!!
Saki again launches a flurry of attacks a few make it through. Once such makes Ryoko cough up blood.
Yoriko: This is getting real.
Lilica: Come on Saki, stop trying too prove something.
Liese: Attacking an injuried person. Weakling.
Zenia and Mikey however are studying the situation. They know something is about too happen.
Mikey: Both of you shut it.
Zenia: Shut up and watch.
Liese/Lilica/Yoriko: what?
Zenia/Mikey: She can't win...
Saki: Fight me damn it!!!
Ry: Fine. You asked for this!!!
Ryoko wipes the blood from her mouth and charges Saki. They clash however after a brief exchange Saki is knocked down.
Ry: Get your ass up!!!
Saki: Don't worry. I intend too. Everytime, as long as my heart is beating I will rise.
They continue their clash however Ryoko notices that Saki is pouring everything fiber of her being into her attacks. She knows she will wear herself out but it seems she doesn't care.
Ry: (I have too keep her down. She'll keep trying.)
Ryoko does many times knock Saki down but like she said aloud, she rises back up. However Saki is exhausted and her attacks are losing their punch. She also starts showing wear and tear from their battle.
Ry: Why are you doing this?
Sakis says nothing but in her mind flashbacks of Fiona being sucked into the Elemental Worlds replay in her mind. That pain she felt then she feels now and it is pushing her forward... perhaps toward her own destruction.
Ry: (I have too end this. I'm sorry Saki)
Ryoko unleashes her Tigers Roar but only at half strength but it is still a powerful attack. Saki is rocked with it and lays on the ground.
Ry: I hope that did it..... !!!!
Saki begins too stur and raise slowly. She returns too her feet, her orange eyes lit with a fire of resolve.
Ry: ....
Saki: I'm not done.
Saki fires away with kicks, even using her own own super moves but she is running out of strength and her attacks aren't effective. Ryoko begins using open handed strikes and throws. Trying too make Saki submit, however Saki doesn't relent. She takes Ryokos strikes, not even bothering too defend herself. Sweat and spit fly from Ryokos connecting strikes but soon are mixed with Sakis own blood. Ryoko gives Saki a stiff knee too the gut, stunning her and knocking the wind out of her.
Ry: Saki..... that is enough.
Saki lunges, Ryoko counters. This replays many times, Saki takes each blow without giving a sign of pain.
Lilica: She must enjoy getting beat up.
Liese: Masochist.
Mikey: You really don't get what is going on here do you?
Zenia: You are very short sighted.
Now fatigue has set in for Saki but she still pushing through.
Ry: (I have too end this. I'm sorry Saki but this is over)
Ryoko uses The Tigers Roar at 100%. Saki yells out in pain. The force of the attack is so great that Saki lands head first on the ground and instantly goes limp. Ryoko drops too a knee.
Ry: *heavy breathing* Now i'm at my limit. *cough* My ribs... *looks too Saki* Why? Saki made you do this? I hope you can forgive me..... and Heart is going too kill me for doing this too her. I'm so in for it.
Mikey: I'll spell it out for you.... she knew she couldn't win.
Zenia: Saki knew she couldn't win. She was pushing herself.
In Sakis unconscious mind the day she lost Fiona replays over and over again. Eventually she wakes up, her vision red with blood.
Saki: (I'm.... not going too let that happen...... again.)
Saki begins too stir, Ryoko lets out an audible gasp. When Saki gets too her hands and knees, Ryoko notices a pool of blood from where her head was. Saki gets too a vertical base, spaghetti legged and her arms limp at her side. her face is dripping with blood from her injury but her orange eyes still burn bright with resolve. She staggers toward Ryoko, whom now mind is spinning.
Ry: (That.... isn't supposed too happen! No one has ever gotten up from it!!! NO ONE!!! What is driving her too do this!?!?! What!?) WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!? TELL ME DAMN IT!!!!!!!!
Without warning Tigris appears with a very rather curious look on his face.
Tigris: I'll find out, have a good nap.
Ry: Hey.... eugh.
*Ryoko passes out*
Tigris: Now tell me human, what is driving you toward your own physical doom?
Saki:.... none.... of your..... business..... demon.
Tigris: I'm making it my business. tell me.
*Saki stands firm with her previous statement*
Tigris: Tell me or it will get bad for you. Last chance.
Saki: do.... do what you want too me. the pain you give me is NOTHING like pain i'm currently experiencing. go ahead.... do your worst.
With that said Tigris extends his tail and warps is around Sakis neck and begins too squeeze.
Tigris: I know you humans can talk even when being strangled. Now tell me!
Saki:...... n...... no.
Tigris further tightens his tail around her neck. Saki begins too cough and gasp for air.
Lilica: Okay now this is getting a bit real.
Yoriko: We have too help her.
Mikey: You will do no such thing. He may not have my power but he is still powerful. He'd brush you aside easily.
Liese: Aren't you going too do anything?
Zenai: No.... There is nothing we can do for her.
Tigris tightens his tailed enough so that Saki stays conscious but not enough too pass out or kill her. He then lifts her off the ground and grows another tail and begins whipping her with it. While it doesn't cut her up like a normal whip would but he hits her hard. Enough too make Saki give a strangled shrek of pain.
Tigirs; Had enough yet?
*Sakis response is too split blood in Tigris direction*
Tigris: You WILL bend too me human.
Tigris then violently slams Saki too the ground. Within moments Saki sturs and tries too get back up but Tigris picks her up again and does the same thing. This happens a few more times before Tigris raises Saki up as high as he can. Saki hangs limp from his tail.
Saki: F....... Fiona..........
Tigris: This will finish you.... huh!?
Ryoko is now awake and has her hand Tigris back.
Ry: You WILL... leave this place.
Ryoko uses her energy too send Tigris back from which he came. However the effort makes Ryoko almost pass out again. However it has a consequence. Saki drops from the height at which Tigris had her. When she hits the ground the sound makes everyones stomach turn.
Ry: SAKI!!!!!!!
*Saki doesn't response but she is alive. Ryoko can sense it and see her back raising up and down.*
Ry: *furious* Tigris...... you have A LOT of explaining too do. And had better impress me because if you don't. I WILL terminate our agreement between us.
While Ryoko gives Tigris her ultimatum, Saki whom is still conscious tries too move.
Saki: (Just..... just one more time.)
With just her will power, Saki summons what strength she has left and begins too raise. Ryoko notices and is taken aback. So much so she is speechless, as is everyone else. Saki manages too get too her feet and drag herself toward Ryoko. When she gets too her, Saki tries too throw a punch but collapses onto Ryoko. She holds Saki, on the verge of tears over what has happened.
Saki: f.... Fiona.
Ry: *sniffle* This.... this is about your friend?
*Saki goes limp*
Ry: What am I going too do? I don't know...
Seeing that it is over Zenia moves too help.
Liese: Where do you think you are going?
Zenia: Too help. Don't see you doing anything... except belittling Saki.
Zenia rounds the corner, Ryoko catches sight of her. Zenia kneels down besides her.
Zenia: Fear not, i'm here too help.
Ry: *sniffle* Wha? How did you get here?
Zenia: Lets not waste time, let me see Saki.
While not a medic or some such Zenia goes give Saki a look over. Surprisingly her injuries are minor save for the gash in her head.
Zenia: Take her too the Kasuga shrine. They will help you. I will clean up the mess so no one asks around.
Ryoko: *sniffle* Thank you Miss Zenia! Thank you!
Ryoko hauls ass away. Zenia starts cleaning up the mess, Liese, Lilica, Yoriko and Mikey join.
Zenia: Appears we weren't alone.
Liese: What are you guys doing here?
Lilica: Same question for you?
Liese: Just watching Saki get her ass handed too her *grin*
Lilica: *grin* Saaaaaaaaaaaaame here.
Zenia: You two are pathetic.
Mikey: She is right. If you haven't learned anything from what Saki did. Then you are seriously arrogant and ignorant.
While everyone cleans up, Ryoko makes it too the Kasuga shrine. Maori is the first too see her and Saki. She openly asks what happened, Ryoko takes her inside. While Ryoko explains Maoris sisters clean Saki up and take care of her wounds.
Ry: She mentioned her friend... Fiona.
Maori: Is that what made her do it?
Ry: I don't know. I know Saki has hard time opening up too people, except Heart but I don't know.
Maori: Saki is very weak but she'll make it. Be out for a while.
Ry: Heart is gonna kill me. Her and Saki are close.....
Maori: Heart will be back tomorrow. Don't worry Ryoko, I believe you.
While Saki rests, Ryoko stays beside her. Sometime later, Zenia shows up and explains what she saw. Her story backs up Ryokos. Later that night Saki awakes up. She looks around and sees that she is at Maoris shrine and that Ryoko is in the same room with her, sleeping.
Saki: Huh..... my head.
*Ryoko awakes up*
Saki: Hey...
Ryoko: Talk too me.... why did you make me do that too you?
Saki: You and Heart..... are stronger then me. Watching you two fight above Mt. Fuji, made me realize that i'm not strong enough. I had too test myself, my heart. I had too know how far I could go.
Ry: Tigris could have killed you!
Saki: Bhnari would have stepped in, i'm sure you know. You can talk too them too.
*Ryoko doesn't say anything but Bhnari does assure her that she was about too step in, those Saki told her not too*
Saki: Don't blame yourself. I take responsibility for what happened.
Ry: You should have told me you wanted too grow stronger. I would train with you.
Saki: I'm sorry... *sad*
Ry: You tore me apart Saki. You really need too open up too others about what is bothering you. You only going too Heart isn't healthy at all! I know what happened too Fiona hurt you but grow from it. Don't let it hold you back. I WILL train with you, just ask me.
Saki: When i'm better, you will?
Ry: Damn straight I will!
Saki: *happy* Thank you.... and i'll handle Heart. Go home.
Ry: WE will handle Heart together.
The next day Heart returns from her volunteer work and apon seeing Saki bandaged up becomes greatly upset. Both explain too Heart what happened and that Saki takes full responsibility for what happened. Heart understands and stays by Sakis side while Ryoko leaves.
3 days before Ryokos season starts, Saki travels too Ryokos house. That day Saki trains from sun up too sundown with Ryoko. They train many more times together afterword. Saki grows in strength, so much so that she is much more confident in being open about what is wrong with her and too be able too trust in her own strength.
